Basement Window Well Water Woes

Window Well Flood

Window wells are a very vulnerable spot for water intrusion in your home.  Water always seems to find its way into a window well and then into your home’s basement. Steps to prevention include regrading, extending downspouts and installing window well drains.

Complete Basement Systems uses a system to run a drainage line from the window well to a sump pump that discharges the water away from your home.

In some cases replacement of the window well is necessary as seen in the photo where the railroad ties allow water to run between the ties and flood the well. Because wells are below ground water may also seep up through the bottom of the window well as well as entering from the top and sides.

Window wells and covers are a great alternative to rusty leaky window wells. Contact us to see how we can help your basement window well woes.
