A Littleton homeowner was having issues with water coming into his home causing water damage with the dry wall and exterior. With recent high flooding in Colorado it is important to the homeowner to protect his home and stay healthy. Water needed to be directed to a sump pump that will pump the water outside through a drain. Rod Martin’s Complete Basement Systems is a trusted contractor for waterproofing issues.
Littleton homeowner, James, was having waterproofing issues and wanted to get his exterior and interior of his home looked at to see if there was anything that could be done to stop water from flooding into his basement and yard. James researched Rod Martin’s Complete Basement Systems online and found our company to be the best to solve his problems.
Our expert foreman Bryan and his team went out to get the job done right for this homeowner! To begin the project the crew inspected the exterior and interior to look for previous damage. After, to make sure that the water would properly discharge outside instead of inside the home the team installed a discharge line above ground. This discharge line will direct the water on the right track. The crew also had to remove dry wall to remove original water damage from the foundation. Past water damage can cause problems not only for the home but for the homeowners health. To prevent future flooding and water damage the team installed a SafeDri Triple sump pump that will pump water from the home outside. They installed the sump pump by digging a hole in the basement and surrounding it with gravel. These sump pumps are backed by their own batteries so if the power goes out, homeowners will not have to panic about water in their basement. In case of cold Colorado weather the sump pump was also installed with FreezeGuard which will still run even if the underground pipe freezes. For drainage from the outside, a lawn drain was put in place so that the water would go into the grass and not into the home.
After Rod Martin’s Complete Basement Systems team came out to the job, James has been able to control his water issues and have peace of mind!
