  • The customer was getting a radon system and decided to also make it so they could use their crawlspace without worry of water. The vapor barrier the customer also got installed not only works with the radon system making it better, but it also helps to keep water out of the crawlspace.
  • Customers sometimes worry that they might not be able to tell if the radon system is on, but with the radon system, it’s as easy as looking at the U-tube. The U-tube shown in this photo has red liquid, this is an indicatory to tell if the radon system is on or not. Since the red liquid is higher on one side, the system is on.
  • The customer had high radon problems before we started the job, but with our radon system installed, their high levels are declining. The Vacuum pump shown in this photo is what creates a low-pressure area underneath the house where the radon is. This causes the radon to be pulled out of the house.
  • When the foreman is putting the pipe on the side of the house they start to get excited because it’s almost another job well done.
  • The radon system, just like any other, requires maintenance. If the system’s indicator is ever equal to the other side, there might be a problem with the system, or the system might be off.
