A couple of years ago, Steven C. had a retrofit foundation repair installed, but noticed that the west side of his Littleton home was still settling. Steven decided to find another company to inspect his foundation and provide suggestions for a permanent repair.
After contacting Complete Basement Systems of CO, Steven met with structural specialist Gary Engholm who assured the homeowner that this damage was completely reversible. Just a couple days later, Humberto Guzman and his crew arrived at the home to begin the installation. They first installed a CleanSpace crawl space vapor barrier and SuperSump sump pump to take care of any water and moisture problems in the crawl space below the home. They then installed helical piers and push piers to straighten the foundation walls and stabilize the home. Additionally, they installed an IceGuard discharge line and LawnScape drainage outlet to make sure water would drain from the foundation in all types of weather!
Steven was more than satisfied with the results and the professionalism of the salesman and installation crew. In addition to a pleasant experience, the homeowner also no longer has to worry about a settling foundation!
Steve and Kelly C. conducted a four-day self-test for radon in their Littleton home, and after receiving a reading of 21.1 pCi/L, they decided to hire a professional to have a second test conducted. They had spoke with a representative from Complete Basement Systems of CO at a local Garden & Home Show and decided to give them a call to schedule a radon test.
Radon specialist Ryan Todd informed the couple that the recommended level at which a radon mitigation system should be installed is 4 picocuries per liter, or pCi/L or higher. To prevent radon from entering the home, foreman Jorge Cervantes and his crew installed a number of reliable solutions. They sealed the crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier and insulated the space with SilverGlo insulation for the rim joist, in addition to wall insulation. Sealing the crawl space helps reduce the flow of radon into the home, and helps prevent conditioned air from leaking out. They also installed a sump pit cover to seal the sump pit and mitigate radon gases.
Steve and Kelly are happy that they decided to have the second radon test done, because they no longer have to worry about the air quality in their home and whether they are breathing in unsafe levels of radon. The homeowners are happy with their radon mitigation, and even have a drier crawl space!
Jan and Joel B. previously had a home energy audit conducted by Complete Basement Systems of CO, and were now ready to make a few energy-efficient repairs to their Littleton home, based on the recommendations from the energy assessment.

Foreman Homero Galindo and his crew installed a CleanSpace crawl encapsulation system, and insulated the rim joist and walls with SilverGlo insulation. They also installed a vent cover to keep moisture out of the crawl space.
Jan and Joel are satisfied with their encapsulated crawl space and the healthy air and increased energy savings that comes along with it!

The homeowners reached out to the professionals for a waterproofing and repair estimate to ensure that the project would be done promptly so that they could move along in the selling process.
The sellers met with waterproofing specialist Perry Mills who suggested the necessary solutions to fix their damp crawl space problem. Foreman Alejando Limones and his crew installed a French drain to eliminate standing water. They also installed a new CleanSpace vapor barrier and drainage matting to help keep the crawl space dry and free of moisture. After the home was sold, new homeowners Bill and Michelle C. contacted Complete Basement Systems for additional repairs. A TripleSafe sump pump was installed in the home’s crawl space, along with an IceGuard discharge line to ensure proper drainage at all times and to protect the home against future water problems.
Bill and Michelle were surprised by how fast the crew came out to install the additional wet crawl space solutions. They can now enjoy their new home without having to worry about a damp, leaky crawl space!
Homeowners Kimberly and David S. knew something wasn’t right. Their Arvada home was starting to develop wall cracks and their doors were hanging poorly. They were also experiencing problems with floor movement. They realized that all of these issues they were experiencing might be caused by a settling foundation. After researching local contractors online, they came across the Complete Basement Systems of CO website and decided to give them a call.
Foundation specialist Rick Donohoe inspected the home’s foundation and informed the homeowners that the problem would need to be taken care of sooner rather than later to avoid any further damage. He thoroughly explained all of the suggested repairs before Humberto Guzman and his crew began the installation process. They installed a number of structural repairs, including helical piers and push piers to help lift and stabilize the foundation. Helical tiebacks and wall anchors were installed to stabilize bowing walls.
Upon completion of the project, Kimberly and David were able to open and close their doors without a problem, thanks to the team at Complete Basement Systems of CO!
Local homeowner Jennifer Myller was worried about the effects of high radon levels in her home. She decided to conduct a radon test and take action if necessary. Radon mitigation reduces radon levels to a safer amount. Jennifer was happy to find out that Complete Basement Systems offers a 10-year warranty on their radon abatement systems. Daniel, a crawl space and waterproofing specialist, visited the Conifer home and diagnosed the issue and created a repair plan to permanently fix the issue for Mary.
Complete Basement Systems was contracted to install EZ Flow and a super sump in the crawl space. The home is built right on bedrock so some of the areas of the crawl were pretty rocky. In the full basement portion of the home a trench drain from the crawl access was installed straight to the existing sump.
Denise had just bought her home in Indian Hills, CO when she noticed water coming in the basement laundry room. She called in to Complete Basement Systems and described that water had made its way in on the south and west wall and mold was now growing in the finished basement.
Proper water mitigation was needed to prevent this from further happening, so a WaterGuard drainage system to a SuperSump pump was installed along the perimiter of the basement.
The home owner of this Wheat Ridge, CO home contacted Complete Basement Systems due to concerns with moisture in the crawl space. The Systems Design Specialist conducted a thorough inspection of the crawl space and put together a plan for mitigation. The crawl space had a 16" clearance with two entrances.
The structural subfloor had a humidity reading of 90%. It was recommended that first the crawl space be cleaned out. To mitigate the water they needed to install drainage matting and a new SuperSump system. A CleanSpace vapor barrier could then be installed on top and sealed to the walls. A SaniDry-CX air system is recommened to address the humidity and will be discharged into the sump.
Dan, the homeowner for a home in Kittredge, CO contacted Complete Basement systems for a Free Estimate. His concern was that part of the kitchen was built over the old well and had no real support. The floors had sunk, and the door step needed support. There was also a crawl space is under the kitchen door that needed supported access.
To correct the structural support issues in the home the installation crew had to work on both additions. PolyLEVEL was installed under the slab on grade addition in the back of the home. The other addition to the home, along the North side needed to remove and replace a wall, add a beam, install two SmartJack monoposts and then install a CleansSace 20 mil liner.
This barn in Indian Hills, CO had a major void near the water spicket. Complete Basement Systems was contract to fill the void with PolyLEVEL. PolyLEVEL is a self-expanding poly-styrene that is able to lift, fill and stabilize underneath concrete slabs. Once the PolyLEVEL is installed, water will not was out the dirt as easily.
Matthew M. wanted to use his crawl space for additional storage space, but was incredibly concered about the dank and musty odors eminating from the dirt. He also noticed the dirt in his crawl space was perpetually damp. It was recommended to Matthew to encapsulate his crawl space with our CleanSpace system. We installed a our patented vapor barrier, which will prevent any additional moisture from getting into the crawl space from the dirt. Furthermore, to handle the latent humidity in the crawl space, we suggested Matthew use a energy-efficient SaniDry CX crawl space dehumidifier. This self-draining system can remove up to 109 pints of water a day from a crawl space, and it's a product that Matthew will never have to worry about again. Finally, we installed a SmartSump sump pump system to remove the extra water from Matthew's crawl space.
Now, Matthew M. will no longer have to worry about water and dangerous allergens accumulating in his crawl space; he'll finally have a safe and clean space to keep his skiing and snowboarding gear!
Pete W. was tired of tripping over his once-beautiful concrete walkway leading up to his front porch. Due to the sandy dirt around Pete's Golden, Colorado home, two of the concrete slabs that made up part of his walkway had sunk around 3" each. As a matter of fact, Pete had tried another contractor to mudjack the slabs a few years ago, but this did not solve the issue. After two years, the slabs had sunk again, and this time, they sunk even lower than they were before he tried mudjacking!
Wanting to provide a safe entry to his home, Pete called Rod Martin's Complete Basement Systems, and set up a free estimate with one of our PolyLEVEL System Design Specialists. After a brief consultation, it was determined that the slabs could in fact be stabilized and lifted using PolyLEVEL injection. Each slab only required four penny-sized injection ports in order to pump in the PolyLEVEL. Fortunately, our PolyLEVEL Foreman was able to lift the slabs back to their original height, restoring Pete's walkway to its former glory.
Now, Pete does not have to worry about the safety hazard that are sinking slabs, thanks to Rod Martin's Complete Basement Systems!
Richard L. of Silver Plume, Colorado, absolutely loves living right in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. However, because of a few years worth of heavy snow, Richard noticed that his driveway had sunk. As a matter of fact, the driveway was a full 2" lower than his garage floor. While Richard was well used to bumpy roads up around Silver Plume, feeling like he was offroading into his own garage was getting a little ridiculous.
Richard scheduled a free estimate with one of Rod Martin's Complete Basement Systems PolyLEVEL System Design Specialists. While Richard was heavily leaning to repouring his entire driveway, our Design Specialist convinced him that our PolyLEVEL system was superior. While a freshly poured driveway will look good for a little while, it does not solve the underlying issue; soil movement underneath the concrete.
After a few quickly drilled ports into the concrete slab, Richard's driveway was lifted back to its original height, removing the tripping hazard completely from his garage!
Gene S. of Hygiene, Colorado, was interested in using his crawl space for additional storage space in his older-style home. However, Gene noticed mold growing on some of the items he put down there; namely, a few pairs of his leather shoes. Concerned about the excess humidity in his crawl space, Gene gave Rod Martin's Complete Basement Systems a call, and set up a risk-free consultation and estimate.
When the Design Specialist made it out there, he determined the best course of action for Gene would be to fully encapsulate his crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. The CleanSpace system is specifically designed to prevent excess moisture from accumulating in the crawl space. Also, it was recommended that the crawl space get a SuperSump system to drain any water that collected in the humid environment.
First, all of the damp dirt in Gene's crawl space was removed, and replaced with dry dirt. Then, a new sump pit was dug out in the crawl space, and the SuperSump sump pump system was installed. Finally, the entire crawl space was fully encapsulated with the CleanSpace vapor barrier.
Now, Gene has the freedom to use his clean and dry crawl space without any worry of mold, all thanks to Rod Martin's Complete Basement Systems!
This Lyons, Colorado home was mostly destroyed in historic floods of 2013. The home sits very close to the confluence of the North St. Vrain and South St. Vrain Creeks, which overflowed during the torrential rainstorms. The home belonged to a family with two small children, and no place to go. However, Milender White, a Construction company out of Arvada, Colorado, stepped up to the rescue. In a partnership with Boulder County Department of Housing and Human Services, as well as the Town of Lyons, Milender White has been rebuilding the home for over a year. With the home nearly complete, Milender White reached out to Rod Martin's Complete Basement Systems to encapsulate the dirt crawl space underneath the home.
As the newly rebuilt home sits in a floodway, being able to mitigate water damage and water intrusion is a must. For this massive crawl space, we determined the most effective way to mitigate water intrusion would be through the CleanSpace vapor barrier. That way, if the creeks near the home were to overflow, the water would not be able to get into the dirt, and, most importantly, away from the foundation.
Now, these formerly displaced homeowners will be able to move back into their brand new home, all with a new, dry, and protected crawl space!
